Stay Strong and Reap In Your Due Season

“Let us not be weary in well-doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Gal 6:9 ASV)

In Luke 4 Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil for forty days: “And when the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him for a season.”

1. We need to understand seasons. There are seasons of lack, seasons of attack, seasons of blessing, and seasons of advancement. One season prepares you for the next. Some people get weary and quit too soon, and somebody else reaps their harvest. Let’s not miss out on our due season. If someone else does what you were supposed to do, then someone else will get what you were supposed to get! If God has a harvest for me, I don’t want to miss it!

2. Turn your negatives into positives. It’s natural to wonder if any good thing can come out of whatever negative place you have been stuck in during Covid19. Nathaniel became stuck in his thinking about Nazareth: “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Jesus greeted him with a word of knowledge that broke his negative mind set: “You will see greater things than these…You shall see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.” (John 1:46-51) God has greater things for us, if only we will believe and not quit too soon!

3. Hold on to hope! (Ps 27:13) David said, “I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” Hold on to the rope of hope! Don’t focus on what you lack and then start feeling sorry for yourself. Instead focus on what you have in Christ and begin to thank Him for it. Study His word, spend time in His presence, and begin to plan how you can use what you have to help build God’s kingdom on earth. Then do it!

4. A fresh wind is coming! God remembered Noahand made a great wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided. Then God spoke to Noah, saying, Go out of the ark, you and your wife, and your sons wives with you…so that you may abound ..and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.” (Gen 8:1-16) They had been in lock-down for at least 150 days in the ark - long enough for God’s work to be done both in the world outside and inside the hearts of Noah and his family. As God remembered Noah, so He will remember all those who love Him, and a great wind of the Holy Spirit will begin to blow again!!

Much of the world has been in a Covid19 lock-down over these last two years. We have all missed out on certain things we used to love doing. But this has given us extra time to get closer to the Lord and dig deeper into His Word. Remember the promise in Hebrews 11:6:He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

God took Israel out of the land of lack, through the land of just enough, and into the land of plenty! We tend to focus on outcomes, but God knows the greatest profit lies in the process of getting us there. In these last days there will be many different kinds of crisis situations: wars, famines, pestilence, earthquakes, etc.. Jesus said, “See that you are not troubled.” (Matt 24:6-7) Why? Because He always has an escape plan that brings Victory for His people!

There will be new Challenges, Changes, and Choices! God is moving! Let us be prayerful and ready to move with Him! Make prayer a priority.

Believing with you for the promised end time harvest of souls!!
