Gods Kingdom Purpose, Power and Provision

God’s Kingdom is mentioned over 100 times in the 4 gospels alone. It’s like heaven invading earth. “Like the days of the heavens above the earth.” - (Deut 11:21)

Matt 6:9-13 The Lord’s Prayer: “Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven……Yours is the Kingdom the Power and the Glory forever. Amen.

Matt 6:33 “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (right way of doing things) and all these things shall be added to you.

When Jesus sent 70 disciples out to preach the good news of the kingdom, He sent them out without money, food, or provisions. (Luke 10:1-9) The lesson Jesus wanted these 70 disciples to learn was this:

If they followed God’s Purpose, they would also find  His Power and Provision! They were to go door to door until someone invited them in. When their message was received, they were to bless the home, heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God has come near to you.’ True prosperity is having enough to do the will of God. If God has a will for me, then He intends for me to have enough to carry it out. If you are short on power or provision you need to check your purpose.

Your Purpose determines the amount of Power and Provision needed.

We find our own purpose within the purpose of God’s Kingdom. That purpose is to establish and carry out the will of God upon the earth; to demonstrate God’s supremacy over all other principalities and powers; and to save as many souls as possible.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

In Acts 3, Peter and John went to the Temple to pray and found a cripple outside of the temple who had been lame from birth. He looked up at Peter and John and asked them for alms. Peter said, “Look at us.” So, he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give to you; In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” They didn’t have money but what did they have?

  1. They had the Power of the Holy Spirit.
  2. They had Authority to use that Power in the name of Jesus to do what Jesus would have done if He were there physically. Believers in Christ today have this same Power and Authority available to us!

Wherever we go as believers, we bring the Kingdom of God near to people! And with that we bring all  the power and provision necessary to establish His Kingdom in people’s lives!

Yours for Kingdom Purpose, Power and Provision,
